Client portal guide
A tour of the client area, and what has a separate login.
Clients sign in at https://panel.example.com/client. They do not sign in on smashpanel.com. What they see depends on the plan.
- Domains, addon domains, subdomains, aliases and redirects
- The DNS zone, when this server is authoritative for the name
- Mailboxes and SOGo webmail, when mail is installed for the account
- Databases, database users and Adminer
- A link to the web file manager, and the SFTP port and users
- Cron jobs that call the site over HTTP
- A staging copy and GitHub deploy, when the plan allows them
- Extra Docker apps, and Compose editing, when the plan allows them
- VPN peers, when the plan allows them
- Switches to turn off the file manager, Adminer, SFTP, cron or MariaDB
The web file manager at https://example.com/files/ has its own login. A unique user is created when the account is provisioned. There is no shared default password. SFTP is a different login again, on the port shown in the portal (22000–22999).
Two-factor authentication is required for administrators and resellers. A client signs in to the client portal with the account password.
